YOUR GLASTO?
The world famous Glastonbury Festival is undoubtedly one of the greatest celebrations of creativity and the performing arts.
So what better day to showcase and celebrate creativity and community in our schools.
Two years ago, when Glasto was cancelled by lock down we built a Pyramid Stage from cardboard, code and creativity on a Somerset Primary School playing field and live streamed our own three day community art festival.
It featured children from school communities across the UK performing alongside some very guests as you can see in the film below.
This year, with lock down lifted, thousands are heading to Somerset again.
But if you didn’t get a ticket for the farm, don’t worry, you can be part of #YourGlasto22 in Yorkshire, whether on stage or in our live streamed mosh pit.

Whatever your art, whatever you want to do, there are many ways you and your school can be part of #YourGlasto22:
1: SharE YOUR ART ONLINE
All day Friday we want you to share your art as images or videos on social media, tagging it #LetsCelebrate22 #YourGlasto22 #Ignite22
So whatever it is - a painting, dance piece or musical performance, get it ready to share on Friday.
We’ll include what we can in our live stream show, maybe even get you on to talk about it if you’re in our Zoom Studio Audience.
2: LIVE STREAM
JOIN US ON STAGE
Between 1pm and 3pm we’ll live stream a 2 hour show from a cardboard Pyramid Stage in the playing field at Kelford Special School in Yorkshire.
This will include performances, singing, dancing and art by primary and secondary students at the school as well as from schools right across the UK, alongside some very special guests.
JOIN US IN THE AUDIENCE
You’ll be able to join us in our Zoom Studio Audience for the live stream as well as watch it and comment on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
3: SING OUR CELEBRATION SONG
This is about celebrating creativity in our school communities and what better anthem that the disco fave ‘Celebration’ by Kool and the Gang, and what better version than Kylie’s and her inspiring story, given she had to cancel her Glasto appearance in 2004 after being diagnosed with cancer, but blew the roof off when she returned at the last Glasto in 2019.
WIll you send in a video of you singing a bit of it for our remake to help us all celebrate what it is that makes us human, our art?
4: ONE IN A MILLION ART WORK
Our #Ignite22 year is all about Inspiring a Million Kids to Aim Higher Than High, powered by their Art, Creativity and Community.
As part of that, we’ve teamed up with world famous French Street Artist JR to create a Million #ILoveArt22 Portraits and have a few thousand already.
So download the template here and share your selfie.

We first visited Kelford Special School at the start of our #Ignite22🔥 launch tour from John O’Groats and on the way back visited Ballifield Primary School in Sheffield.
On the way there our resident dad and co-founder Nick Corston had a wonderful chat with Becky Measures who was sitting in on the Breakfast Drive time show on BBC Radio Sheffield.
She then asked him back on her Saturday show.
Listen to their chat here about the importance of creativity and inspiring our kids to aim higher than high and not fearing failure.
“I love you. Whoever gave you funding, double it.
After the 2 years we’ve had, this is so needed”
Becky Measures, BBC Radio Sheffield
